I was watching this female Great Horned Owl in the early morning. She was away from her nest, while Mr. Owl was sleeping in a tree nearby. She then crouched down on the branch and gave him this Scowl, as if scolding him for being asleep. I swear, I can’t make this stuff up. Great Horned Owls are so animated and emotional. It has been one of the great joys of observing them.
